Position :               Senior Database Administrator

Qualification  :           B. E/ B.Tech/ BCA/ BSc (Computers)/ M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA/

M.Sc.(Computers) or any equivalent degree.

Experience          :               4+Years Working Experience in Data Base Administrator and also

                                    Should be OCP Certificated.

Salary             :           Rs.8,00,000/- per Annum

Requirements            :

• The DBA should be responsible for installing and upgrading the Oracle servers and related Oracle tools.
• The DBA should be responsible for creating primary database storage structures (Table spaces), once the application developers have designed an application.
• The DBA should be responsible for allocating system storage and planning for future storage requirements for the database systems.
• The DBA should be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database and offering assistance to developers in optimizing their applications, queries, etc.
• The DBA should be responsible for planning for the backup-up and recovery of the databases, and maintaining archived data on tape.
• The DBA should be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining the structural

integrity of all Oracle database objects, which include tables, views, indexes, sequences, etc., once the application developers have designed an application.

• The DBA should be responsible for enrolling users, maintaining system security, and controlling user access to the database.
• The DBA should build the physical data structures, make database design modifications,

troubleshoot problem queries and updates, allocate and manage physical (space) resources, monitoring database activity and performance.

• The DBA should tune the database for performance and install and upgrade software.
• The DBA should plan, test and implement backup and recovery procedures.
• Any other tasks as entrusted by APEPDCL from time to time.
