Job Description :
Role & responsibilities
Greet patients, collect necessary information (such as insurance details and personal information), and manage the check-in process. Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendars.
Ensure patient records are accurate and up-to-date. Handle patient forms, consent documents, and medical history updates.
Manage incoming calls and emails. Provide information to patients regarding appointments, clinic policies, services offered, and general inquiries. Route calls to appropriate staff or departments.
Verify patient insurance coverage, collect co-payments or payments, and explain billing processes. Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide basic billing support.
Assist patients with inquiries, requests, and concerns. Provide information on clinic procedures, services, and directions. Ensure patients are comfortable while waiting and manage patient flow.
Schedule follow-up appointments and send appointment reminders to patients via phone, email, or text message. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure appointment availability and smooth scheduling.
Maintain organized electronic and paper medical records. Ensure records are filed correctly and accessible when needed. Retrieve and update records as requested by medical staff.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and photocopying documents. Help maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently. Coordinate emergency responses with medical staff and direct patients accordingly.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as handling patient inquiries while managing appointments and administrative duties. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
